About

Service At Its Finest

HILLSIDE CARE LIMITED is a domiciliary care provider to provide person-centered care and support to vulnerable adults to be independent in their own homes. Our main commitment is to enable and support elder people to be safe and healthy, to live independently, and be active citizens within their community.

HILLSIDE CARE LIMITED’s priority is the provision of high-quality care at all times through a process of robust quality assurance and monitoring. We listen to our clients and collect service user feedback and continue improving our services by learning and experience.

We will provide peace of mind for relatives whose loved ones require extra support. The knowledge that a friendly face will be visiting your relative on a regular basis offers that much needed reassurance that their well-being is being cared for.  We will also ensure to provide regular updates on your relation's progress - something which is vital if you're living at a distance and find it difficult to monitor their health and well-being as much as you'd like.

Housing support

Our personal care service, aids individuals with their daily routines. Including support with washing, medication, and dressing. Where the dignity and comfort of the client are made a priority always.  Other tasks could involve administering medication, preparing meals, helping with household tasks, companionship, day to day errands.

Companionship care can range from care workers popping in for a small chat with a cup of tea to smaller tasks such as shopping, cooking, cleaning. This type of care usually involves a social visit that elevates morale and wellbeing.

If you need housing support, this can be a small task such as help with reading mail sent from housing, bills such as gas and electricity, GP, hospitals, and anything that helps you maintain and that keep you up to date. The carer will visit the home a few times a week and can be as short as 30 minutes.

Jobs and Careers

Care workers who are interested in working with us are able to register with us, you can book an appointment by emailing or contacting us by phone.

All current employees and new employees are updated and informed about the new job role and are given freedom in submitting any interest. We make sure we have a detailed job description that helps us to specify what exactly we are looking for.

Advertising

We advertise from sources which are the most cost-effective ways some of the methods we normally use include:

Recruiting internally

  •  Words of mouth

  •  Job centers

  •  Employment agencies

  • Online recruitment like universal job match and Health and Care jobs

  •  Local Resources E.g. Post office and shop windows to attract passers-by.

  • We put a job advert to sell the job and attract the best candidates, here we include all training and development opportunities and promote the benefits of working for us.

Application forms

All applicants that submit interests are given application forms to fill in and send.  Here we can get all the information we need to help us sift out unsuitable candidates. The form is easy to complete, and the applicant is also given a chance to provide information about convictions with the care service manager.

Interview

All applicants with successful application forms that attract the job role are invited for an interview. Depending on the job role we plan the format of the interview and decide the questions in advance. For care workers, we normally produce a standard set of pre-prepared questions for the candidates.  We try to see how much they know about the job they are applying for and the reasons why they think it’s the right field for them.  This enables us to judge the candidates against each other fairly and gives everyone an equal chance. We also sometimes ask individualised questions based on the candidates’ application forms or ask to follow up questions to the candidate’s responses.  According to the outcomes of their interviews, all applicants are emailed clearly identifying whether they have been successful or unsuccessful.  This is followed by a telephone confirmation for those successful.

 Successful Applicants

All successful applicants are called in and an enhanced DBS is carried out.  To ensure the barred list is checked as well as a check for any convictions. Two reference forms are sent to the previous employers which must be filled and sent back before the applicant’s employment starts. Once both references are back, and the DBS has cleared the successful applicant is given a start day for their induction day.
